Language Arts: In addition to a 20 station student computer lab, our grade 6-8 language arts classroom offers additional computers for word processing.
Student Art: Grade 1 did a fantastic job on “bug” art! Students are taught by an art specialist.
Student Art: Grade 8 students studied pointillism using gargoyles as the subject.
Student work is always published in the halls for all to view and admire
Students are eager and involved in learning at Holy Spirit School. Each room showcases student work increasing their pride and self-esteem in students.
Grade 2 & 3 Science Project (funded by Evansville Rotary Club) Hands-on Weather Station: Students in grades 2 & 3 visited local television and radio stations to learn how weather data was collected and reported. Visits to both the Evansville Courier and Henderson Gleamer helped students learn more about news reporting. Students used computer software to help them publish a school newspaper as one of the many hands-on projects of the science study.
Physical Education: Our campus sports two softball fields, soccer field, handball court and tennis court in addition to playground areas.
Students enjoy a game of kickball during a P.E. class.
Students are able to receive individual tutoring help in one of three programs at Holy Spirit.
Art Fair: Students submit work for the annual fair. This third grader used crayon as the medium.
